What's on the roof
The roof is the one place on any boat that is empty, rigid, and sees the whole sky. SkyHub makes the roof itself the solar panel — a delta with the point forward — and one rule governs everything else: nothing stands above the cells. The satellite bay is at the point, the cameras hang at the four corners, the hub hangs underneath, and the aft edge carries the rest.
About 400 watts of shaped marine laminate is the roof skin, with nothing mounted above it to throw a shadow. Charged through a smart controller the app can see. On a South Florida day that is 1.6 to 2 kWh — enough to run everything on the tower and put some back.
The roof comes to a point forward, and the Mini sits flush in it — ahead of the cells, so its shadow falls on the water, not the panels, with the whole sky above it. Sealed cable pass, clean 12–24 V feed. The service plan stays on your own account.
Forward floods and aft cockpit spreaders mounted under the roof edges, optional colour courtesy lighting underneath, and a legal all‑round anchor light on a slim stalk at the aft edge. Scenes from the app: night fishing, docking, anchored, off.
Four welded rocket launchers on the aft edge, six on SkyHub+, and outrigger bases and a kite rod holder on Pro. The parts a Florida buyer checks first, done properly.
Two ratchet mounts for VHF and a second radio on the aft corners, raked backwards so they clear the panels and the satellite bay. The cellular and positioning antennas ride flat under the roof edge.
Radar is the one thing that has to stand up, so it stands behind the panels on a pedestal off the aft edge, above the plane of the roof. Fitted on Pro with an 18 to 20 inch radome from the major brands; every SkyHub has the mounting and the cable run.
The BoatPlay computer, the solar charger, the router and the circuit switching share one weather‑sealed enclosure hung beneath the roof, commissioned before it leaves the factory. The tower is a BoatPlay system the moment it lands.
Camera mounts at all four corners of the roof, hung below the edge where they see everything and shade nothing. Cameras fitted on SkyHub+ — trip, cockpit and a bird's‑eye docking view. Pro adds thermal for night running.
Power, boat network and data run down a single leg through one deck plate to one connector. It joins the chart plotter you already have, or replaces the need for one.
Power
The roof covers everything on the tower with margin to spare. Add the SkyHub+ battery and the tower runs on its own — your boat's batteries are never touched, and a boat on a mooring stays watched indefinitely without shore power.
The tower never draws your starting battery down. If the boat's own voltage drops, SkyHub sheds its loads first — the boat will always start before the tower gets to keep its lights on.
Control
Every circuit, sensor and camera on the roof is a BoatPlay device. The same app that runs a Marea runs your SkyHub — and it gets smarter every month you own it.
SkyHub observes, lights, connects and speaks. Nothing on it sits in your engine, steering or fuel systems, and every navigation light keeps a physical switch at the console.

Fit & shipping
Centre consoles from 18 to 30 ft with a console 30 to 48 inches wide. Adjustable legs take deck slopes to about 8°. Under 21 ft we'll confirm the weight aloft for your hull before we ship.

Two people, a Saturday morning, four deck plates — or a dealer half‑day. Nothing is cut except the plate holes. Commissioning is done before it ships; you scan a code, pair the app and name the boat.
Questions
No. The bay is there when you want it, and the tower connects over cellular and Wi‑Fi without it. With a Starlink Mini in the bay you have broadband thirty miles out; the plan is yours, on your account.
SkyHub ships with BoatPlay OS Standard activated. Plans start at $39 a month and cover the cloud link, alerts, remote support and every software update the tower will ever get.
No, by design. SkyHub observes, lights, connects and speaks. It is never in the propulsion, steering or fuel path, and nothing on it can stop the boat.
No. The roof makes more than the tower uses, and if the boat's voltage ever drops, the tower sheds its own loads first. The SkyHub+ battery goes further — the tower runs on its own, indefinitely, without your batteries.
Yes. The umbilical includes a boat‑network drop, so the tower's data appears on the screen you have, and BoatPlay runs on your phone or a tablet beside it.
Under 180 lb all‑in with rigid panels, and about 30 lb less with the light‑panel option we recommend on boats under 21 ft. The tower battery mounts low in the console, never in the roof.
Yes. The tower is engineered for highway speeds. If your garage door or a regular bridge is the problem, order the rear‑fold hinge.
